How Often Should You Bleed An Electric Hot Water Bottle?

Regarding the frequency of bleeding an electric hot water bottle, it is generally recommended to bleed it once a month. This is because during use, gas gradually accumulates inside the hot water bottle. If it is not bleeded in time, it may affect the normal use and safety of the bottle. When the hot water bottle is charging and heating, the gas inside expands, making the bottle increasingly inflated. Therefore, regular bleeding is essential.

Next, I will explain the steps for venting an electric hot water bottle in detail:

Heating: Before venting the hot water bottle, heat it by charging it. This causes the gas inside the bottle to expand, making it easier to expel.

Shaking: When you notice the hot water bottle has inflated, gently shake it. This helps the gas escape more quickly and allows the hot water bottle to return to its flat state.

Opening the Vent Hole with a Tool: You can use a flathead screwdriver or the flat metal tab of the charger plug (insert it into the charging side of the hot water bottle and rotate it 90 degrees) to open the vent hole cap. Remember to apply gentle force to avoid slipping or damaging the vent hole.

Lifting the Hot Water Bottle: Before removing the cap, gently lift the hot water bottle so that the liquid is concentrated at the bottom, preventing spillage.

Gently Pulling the Vent Hole Plug: Be sure to be gentle to avoid splashing water.

Absorbing Moisture: If there is water near the vent hole, gently absorb it with tissue paper.

Pressing to Vent: During the venting process, gently press the hot water bottle to expel the gas. When liquid is faintly visible at the vent, the gas has been completely released.

Lift the charging port: When releasing gas, remember to lift the charging port side. This effectively prevents water from entering the charging port and avoids unnecessary problems such as short circuits.

Tighten the vent cap: After releasing gas, use a flathead screwdriver to tighten the vent cap clockwise. Remember not to use excessive force to prevent stripping the screws and ensure the hot water bottle is sealed.
