I. Core safety quality risks (High-risk fatal category)
1. Bag body cracking, bursting and leakage (Highest risk)
Causes: Insufficient vulcanization, adulteration of rubber materials, thin film thickness, over-aged aging, boiling water filling, excessive water filling, exposure to sunlight/low-temperature cracking, long-term heavy pressure folding
Harm: Direct scalding of skin by hot water, large area scalding, blistering
Defective features: Crispy rubber body, no elasticity, white and cracked surface, easy deformation upon pulling
2. Sealing/neck leakage and water seepage
Causes: Insecure fitting of neck inserts, rough thread workmanship, aging/missing sealing rubber rings, skewed screwing, pinholes in hot-pressed sealing edges, dark cracks at mold closing points
Subdivision: Misalignment of upper and lower water-stop structures is a frequent cause of leakage in new necks
3. Excessive harmful chemical substances
Causes: Recycled waste rubber, inferior additives, excessive plasticizers, heavy metals, harmful volatile substances
Harm: Irritating odor, skin allergy, long-term exposure to harmful substances is detrimental to health, unable to pass REACH/CE testing for exports
Manifestations: Irritating odor when opening the bag, lingering odor, sticky rubber body with oil
4. Poor aging resistance, short-term hardening and powdering
Causes: Poor rubber material formula, insufficient addition of anti-aging agents, non-compliant vulcanization time and temperature
Manifestations: Becomes hard, powders off, peels, loses elasticity, prone to cracking and leakage within a few months of use
5. Insufficient pressure resistance and tensile strength
Causes: Reducing the thickness of rubber sheets by cutting corners, insufficient addition of carbon black reinforcing materials, unqualified mixing process
Does not meet the requirements of national standard HG/T 2011, prone to breakage upon pulling, cracking upon dropping, no safety guarantee
II. Frequent daily problems
Rubber has a strong odor
New bags have a slight rubber smell which is normal and can dissipate after 3-7 days of ventilation; pungent chemical odor indicates inferior waste rubber and should be discarded directly.
Bag body swelling and bulging
Caused by high water temperature, excessive residual air, aging and deterioration of rubber materials,严禁 continued use after bulging.
Mold line cracking and delamination
Insufficient heat press sealing at the mold closing point, poor adhesion of rubber sheets, belongs to factory process defect, prone to leakage in the later stage.
Ear breakage
Thin edge rubber and insufficient strength due to insufficient force, prone to breakage and detachment when lifted or hung.
Surface moldy, spots
Internal water accumulation not dried after use, damp and poorly ventilated storage environment, long-term dampness will accelerate rubber aging.
Powdering, sticky hands, oil leakage
Extraction of additives, severe aging of rubber, all anti-slip and anti-leak performance fail, posing great safety hazards.
Cap sliding and not tight to screw
Poor injection/sulfurization accuracy of bottle mouth threads, tooth deformation, unable to seal, continuous leakage and water seepage.
III. Quality gap between high and low prices (Industry secrets)
Low-end: Recycled mixed rubber, thin rubber sheets, short vulcanization time, no anti-aging agent → prone to cracking, having a smell, short lifespan, high safety risks
Mid-range: Styrene-butadiene synthetic rubber, standard vulcanization, regular additives → good cost-effectiveness, less odor, medium durability
High-end: Pure natural rubber, thick rubber sheets, standard vulcanization + high-quality anti-aging agent → soft and elastic, no smell, anti-aging, 3-5 years without cracking
IV. Easy way to identify inferior products (Inspection must see)
Touch: Hard, dry, no elasticity, uneven thickness = poor quality
Smell: Irritating, eye-piercing, strong chemical odor = waste rubber
Pull: White color, deformation, lack of toughness = unqualified tensile strength
Look: Rough surface, bubbles, cracks, impurities, incomplete mold line = process defect
Test: Slow leakage in multiple places after inflation and pressure = presence of hidden pinholes, dark cracks
V. Key points to avoid risks in use and storage
Prohibit adding 100℃ boiling water, control water temperature within 70-80℃
Fill only 2/3 of the capacity, drain the internal air before tightening the lid when filling to the full
Prohibit exposure to direct sunlight, baking, severe cold freezing, long-term folding and heavy pressure
Use by designated person, elderly and children must be accompanied by a cloth cover for separation to prevent scalding After use, drain all the remaining water. Open the lid and hang it upside down to completely dry. Store it in a cool and dry place in an airtight container.
For natural rubber, it is recommended to replace it every 2-3 years. If it becomes hard, cracked, or bulges, it should be discarded immediately.
