1. Do not touch the skin directly.
A layer of towel or cloth must be wrapped around the ice bag to prevent frostbite, redness, and stinging pain. (A cloth ice bag can be chosen.)
2. Do not apply the cold compress for too long at a time.
One application for 15 to 20 minutes is sufficient. Wait at least 1 hour before applying again. Do not continuously apply the cold compress for more than 30 minutes.
3. It is only suitable for acute injuries.
Suitable for: sprains, bumps, redness, fever, post-operative swelling reduction.
Not suitable for: chronic cold legs, cold-sensitive joints, stiff muscles, poor blood circulation (these cases should be treated with hot compresses).
4. Do not fill the ice bag too full.
Fill it with water up to 1/2 to 2/3. Exhale the air and seal it to prevent cracking and leakage.
5. The water temperature should be appropriate.
Use cold water and ice cubes. Do not use boiling hot water to avoid scalding the cloth ice bag and damaging the skin.
6. These people should be cautious about using/avoiding ice compresses.
- Diabetes, poor blood circulation
- Sensitive skin, the elderly, infants
- Open wounds, damaged skin areas
7. Stop immediately if these symptoms occur.
If the skin turns white, purple, numb, or painful, it indicates that frostbite is approaching. Stop immediately.
8. Dry it promptly after use.
Wash and dry it. Avoid mold, odor, and rubber aging.
